What’s a book or movie that genuinely scared you?
I grew up in Florida. After I saw Jaws, swimming in the ocean was scary. I’d be out there in the water thinking about what might be swimming underneath me.
The Los Angeles Times ran its 1975 review under the headline “Don’t Go Near the Water.” Just when we think it’s safe to swim in the sea.
The worst part is sharks still give me a fright every time I’m swimming in the deep ocean. I grew up in Florida where shark attacks are a real thing. Let me ask you dear reader. Don’t shark scare you too? They scare me.
